The 4PM Service
The 4pm service is a new style of service that started in May 2021. It meets outside the vicarage (under canvas) from 16:00 every third Sunday each month and replaces the 10am morning service on these days. The service is welcome to all and is followed by refreshments. Our next service will be on Sunday 21st November 2021 inside the church hall. Refresh Service – 4pm – this Sunday (21st November)
This coming Sunday is our next ‘Refresh’ service @ 4pm – this time it will be in the Church Hall. We are aiming for the service to be 45 mins and then people will be free to go or stay around for a chat.
We will start with some words and prayers that we will say altogether followed by some sung worship led by Neil and a group of musicians.
The designated Sunday theme is ‘Christ the King’ and, led by Joel, we will discuss some questions in groups concerning John 18:33-37. Light afternoon refreshments (tea, coffee, cakes) will be served while the discussions are taking place.
Then for the last part Harvey will be interviewing Kanat. Kanat works with the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) in Central Asia. He lives in a city in a central Asian country with his wife and two children. He is currently visiting Oxford as part of his part-time Ph.D studies on contextual theology. He has been joining the congregation at St Nicholas during his visits to Oxford.
We hope you will join us for this time of worship, bible reflection, fellowship and testimony.
